Introduction to the Division

‘Variety’ best describes the work of these divisions.  The services within two division comprises of audit clients, transaction services, Outsourcing services, Company secretarial, IT assurance and internal audit.  Of any organisation from a listed company to working with owner-managed businesses. Our audit clients within Business Services include natural resource companies, tech companies, professional practices and retailers. Our audit clients within Financial Services include Brokers, Insurance Companies, Funds and Wealth management, and Money remittance clients.

Responsibilities

Purpose and aim of the role
Bank confirmations
•    Manage and oversee our third party bank letter confirmation process
•    Managing a small team to ensure processes are being run effectively to ensure we receive bank confirmations on a timely basis
•    Ensure all monthly requests are being sent out in a timely manner by the team
•    Ensure any relevant documents used for the requests are being proactively chased
•    Building rapport with Managers, Directors and Partners to discuss improvements that can be made to the system to build efficiency 
•    Liaising directly with service providers to escalate any issues or problems
Client onboarding
•    Overseeing our client onboarding process for the division and reviewing all documents before partner approval and being involved in completing complex documents relating to these processes, including:
o    KYC forms (Know Your Client forms)
o    Engagement Letters
o    Professional Clearance
o    Dealing with general queries and completing general administrative requests from managers, directors and partners
•    Managing a small team to ensure onboarding documents are completed accurately and on a timely basis
General requirements
•    Escalating any issues directly to Head of Audit Operations
•    Providing cover for the team and involvement in all processes to support the team

Person Specification
  • Prior direct experience in a similar business operations role is required
  • Experience working in a practice or professional services firm is ideal  
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Prior experience of managing a small team and processes (1 – 2 years)
  • Strong communications skills with experience of coaching, and influencing  with the ability to build relationships across all levels of staff and management
