Business Services
We are the 2nd largest auditor of AIM listed companies and the 6th largest of all LSE companies with over 130 on either the Main Market or AIM. In the last 5 years we have grown significantly in the listed audit market by focussing on delivering consistent quality and making all our clients feel valued.
The team also work with a number of large, multinational private businesses across many sectors with varying regulatory and reporting requirements, and we have specialist knowledge of a range of industries – from natural resource companies, tech companies, professional practices and retailers.
You could be involved in the audit of any organisation from a listed company to working with owner-managed businesses. With every audit, you'll gain a deeper insight into each stage of the process, and a broader view of the businesses we work for. As your experience grows, so will your opportunities.
Reporting to the Division’s Operations Director and supporting the Corporate and Capital markets division on the following:
- Preparing the information for the bi-annual trainee moderation meetings and assisting the operations director in running the meeting
- Attending 3 and 6 monthly induction meetings with new joiners to provide guidance and expectations
- Following up on feedback on poor performance in order to escalate issues to the operations director and supporting operations Directors in any performance processes
- Coaching of staff and managers to ensure the values of the firm are maintained
- Presentation to new graduate joiners to provide information on feedback mechanisms, appraisals and expectations
- Attending regular meetings with underperforming staff to ensure the feedback is being received and actions taken
- Leading monthly catch up meetings with new Assistant Managers to ensure they are embedded into the division
- Responding to general queries from staff on matters such as sabbaticals, compassionate leave, TOIL request and holidays requests, and ensuring Firm guidance is followed.
- Assisting in any other operational matters required to support the division.
- Some relevant experience in an operational role with some involvement in dealing with people matters.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word and Excel
- GCSE passes in Maths and English, or equivalent
- A to C passes in A-Levels, or equivalent
