Not for Profit
The Not for Profit (NFP) team has an impressive pool of knowledge and experience to share and from which to learn. The team is led by partners with extensive experience in the sector; not only of auditing and advising large, high profile NFP entities but some have also seen things from the client’s side where they have run and assisted in the governance of global international charities.
NFP organisations are distinguished by the fact that they exist for a social purpose, rather than by what they do day to day. This means the NFP world encompasses everything from radical campaigning organisations to big businesses with a public benefit remit. Purpose and aim of job
- The NFP administrative team provide administrative support to partners and staff within the NFP division. The aim of this role is to support the institutional donor team within the NFP division, as well as offering administrative support to the wider NFP team.
- This role ideally requires an experienced administrator, who works well in a team, is flexible, organised, has advanced Microsoft Word skills, good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The role is expected to be busy and varied with the post holder responsible for managing his or her own workload. Although the post holder will work predominantly on his or her own, support from the Secretarial Manager and Administrative and Bids Assistant will be available and he or she will also be expected to assist other team members, as required.
Providing administrative support to Partners and Managers with duties as and when required, including:
- Monitoring framework contract inboxes and responding to new requests for service / queries
- Carrying out conflict checking procedures for new requests for service
- Formatting and submitting responses to requests for service
- Preparation of budgets and assignment implementation plans
- Raising invoices as required
- Formatting and finalising reports and correspondence
- Maintaining the database of open assignments
- Liaising with sub-contractor firms and internal colleagues on the status of open assignments
- Preparation of reports showing status of open assignments for monthly progress meetings
- Attending monthly progress meetings with the Partners, managers and client and taking minutes
- Preparation and distribution of minutes of meetings
- Assisting Secretarial Manager and other team members when required
- Document formatting, when required
- Undertaking Know Your Client (KYC) checks and completion of forms for new clients
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook / Excel
- Previous administrative experience essential
- A second European language skill is preferred but not essential
